Choosing a scrapbooking album is the first step when beginning scrapbooking. There are so many fun memory scrapbooking albums now that it is likely that you will use a variety of scrapbook albums in your scrapbooking experience.
We offer several sizes of scrapbooking albums and have both post bound scrapbooking albums and strap-hinge scrapbooking albums. We love the chipboard albums to use to make a great gift or a speciality album.
Post Bound Scrapbooking Albums use posts to attach the pages to the album. To add pages or change the order of the pages, the posts are unscrewed, extensions added if needed and then re-screwed. The albums made today typically lay flat when open – an important feature when viewing the album. Top loading page protectors usually are what is attached with the posts in this type of album although there are a few albums that use side-loading pages. Paper is then loaded into the protectors. We offer post bound albums in both 12 x 12 and 8 x 8 and in a variety of colors and cover styles by a variety of manufacturers including: Pioneer, K & Company, Imaginesce, EK Succes and more!
Strap-hinge Scrapbooking Albums use a strap and a metal hinge attached to the scrapbook page. Pages are added by removing the straps and running them through the new pages. These albums also lay flat. Typically page protectors are purchased separately and placed on the scrapbook refill sheets that are added to the photo album. Westrim Crafts does, however, also make top loading pages protectors with the hinges for those that prefer that system.
